Sriskandarajah and Sudhakar Kesavan dazzle

In Chennai, it was a bright outing on a wet day for Team ANYA as one of  their star performer  Sriskandarajah and new team entrant Sudhakar Kesavan clinched  convincing wins on a rainy day. The races were curtailed due to the inclement weather and only eight races were held. The date for the remaining races will be announced later.   The rainy weather was no dampener for the racing enthusiasts and there was a sizable crowd which had turned up to see the races.  As the speed machines roared into action at the Madras Motor Race Track in Irungattukottai for the fourth round of the Ucal Rolon National Racing Championship 2008, around 80 riders from various parts of the country were seen in action.   each other in three different classes – Experts, Intermediate and Novices.

Experts

Group D 4 Stroke 165 cc:  Pole leader and veteran racer Sriskandarajah of   Team ANYA Racing started his comeback trail in style by annexing his first win of the day in Race 1. Starting on pole, Sriskandarajah roared away to build up a decent lead and held on till the end to record a deserving win.

Intermediate

Group D 4 Stroke 165 cc: It was a dream day for pole leader Sudhakar Kesavan of Team ANYA registered his first ever podium  win as he raced away away to a great win in Race 1. Finishing 2nd and third were V. Sameer and  Emmanuel Clarke.

Novice

Group D 4 stroke 130 cc:  Sarath Kumar once again took the honors winning both the races in this class. Finishing second and third in both races were Alok Shashidhar and S.Ravi respectively.. Pouring rain led to a few vehicles skidding forcing the race to be stopped after 4 laps- one lap lesser than scheduled.

Group D 2 stroke 165 cc:  S. Vinoth did well to take the chequered flag in Race 1.  Finishing second and third in Race 1 were Sumit Lucas and Gowri Shankar respectively.  In Race 2 it was Sumit Lucas T who emerged winner with Gowri Shankar and R.Karthik finishing in second and third places respectively.

Mopeds

K. Umesh Babu was in full cry in Race 1 as he registered yet another win.  A.Vinoth and R.Ashok Kumar finished second and third respectively. In Race 2 it was A.Vinoth who took the honors with Umesh Babu finishing second and Ashok Kumar third.
