Triple Pole for T.K.Vishwanath

Superbike poles for Praveen and Vikram while Vivek, Alok, Deva, Umesh & Sameer share honors in other classes

It was a spectacular return to road racing by the former national champion T .K. Vishwanath. On a hectic and action packed day, the qualifying sessions for Round 3 of the Ucal Rolon National Racing Championship got underway today at the Madras Motor Race Track in Irrungattukottai near Chennai today. Vishwanath capped the day with three poles to his credit. In the Super Bike class it was Praveen Keerthi and Vikram who took the honors. S.Vivek Pillai, V.Sameer, Alok Shashidhar and K.Umesh Babu were among those in the limelight today as they achieved pole positions in their respective classes.

The pole positions and fastest lap timings in various categories are as follows-:

Group A (Super Bikes)

An added attraction on Sunday during the main races - which is bound to bring the house down - will be the races in the Super Bikes classes featuring 600 cc and 1000 cc foreign bikes.

The main races will commence on Sunday at 9 am. Entry for the public is free.
