Round 6 of the Kawasaki Cup was held at the Pasir Gudang Circuit at Johor. This was held as a support race for the FIM International Asian Grand Prix.
A brief on how the weekend of round 6 went from Emmanuel Clarke:
Practice and Qualifying: I just got 20 mins of actual practice time to get used to the layout. This is a 3.8km track, so technical and flowing that you cannot see the exit of many corners, while turning into the corner. Despite mentally going over the circuit, riding it is completely another thing. This really was tough! Another thing that played into the local boys hand was that many of them had prior knowledge of the track, from previously racing here.

In official free practice I managed to set a time of 1.55.8 to be 8th fastest which put me in the mid pack. Not bad considering the little track time I had.
Next up was qualifying and I used it to get more time on track and did a 1.55.1 to stay 8th fastest and be on row 2 for the race next day! We changed a couple of settings on the bike to try out in the warm up next day but a wet track and rain put paid to those hopes. But, I was still hopeful of doing well in the races.

Race 1: I was running in 7th position until I ran wide at the chicane and joined back in 11th place. But I passed the guys back to finish the first race in 9th place with a best lap timing of 1.54.4.
Race 2: With the finishing order of Race 1 deciding the starting grid of Race 2, I started out in 9th place. I moved up to 8th but couldnt keep that pace up to finish. Finishing Race 2 in 9th place with a best lap timing of 1.53.5, which at a track unkown to me and with the limited amount of practice was a good show.

The overall position for the weekend was 8th and I am now in 7th place (82 points) in the championship out of 21 riders.
