Emmanuel Jebaraj is participating in the Supersport novice category, where he finished overall 6th this weekend.
Practice: He started off practice by having to run in a new engine in his R6 because the old one was blown to pieces, quite literally. He has now shifted to another team called Tommys Racing. So, with concern and care he ran in his new engine till the free practice on Friday, he could not push his bike or do any setup changes. He started official practice on Friday by clocking 1.13.707 on slightly older tires, which was a decent start to the weekend.
Qualifying: The next program was qualifying and with new rubber on his bike he could try a few set up changes to clock 1.11.707 to qualify 4th in the novice class.
Race 1: In the first race, he got a poor start and saw him drop down to a disappointing 14th but, with determination he moved up slowly to finally finish 7th in the novice class and 20th overall. His fastest lap time was 1.11.783 which is not bad considering how close the 19 bikes in the novice category are bunched up.

Race 2: With the finishing order of Race 1 deciding the starting grid he started from 7th among the novices and a managed to lap consistently despite suffering from brake fade. He finished 5th (18th overall), with a best lap of 1.11.234.

So by virtue of two good performances he was placed 6th overall amongst the novices.
He had finally gotten the monkey off his back and had managed to see the chequered flag in Supersports for the first time this year. Earlier he missed the previous rounds due bad luck with reliablity issues with his engine. He is still awaiting some special parts for his engine mapping like a power commander and Springs so we can expect bigger and better things to come from him.
He is sponsored by Red Rooster Racing, Live Life, Eclipse Malaysia and now races for Tommy's Racing.
