The Petronas riders from South East Asia repeated their qualifying performance from yesterday to take vicotries in both the premier 600cc races here at the Madras Motorsports track today. Krishnan Rajini from the Red Roosters Racing Team clinched a podium with gritty performances in both the races. He finished 5th in Race 1 and 3rd in race 2. Read more about Rajini's race.
Unfortunately, the other Indian riders (in both 600cc and 115cc categories) could not sustain themselves against higher oppositions as Preetam Moses (who is Rajini’s team mate), Emmanuel Jebraj of Ten10 Racing and Alisha Abdullah of Blue Arrow Racing, the lone women to compete in championship history, failed to finish both the races.
As per the official time sheet, Kraisat had the best of timing having covered the 15 laps in 26:39.772 secs and had also returned the fastest lap for other riders at 126.7 kmph, before making the exit for other reasons.
Finishing first in the second race helped Polamai, who finished second behind Kraisat in the first race, to remain as the leader of the Championship with 165 points. Kraisat continue to occupy the second spot with 143 points followed by Md.Zambri Baba, third, with 116 points.
