On an action packed day supported by good weather conditions, the third round of Rolon FMSCI National Racing Championship for bikes got underway  at the Kari Motor Speedway today.  A  sizable crowd of racing enthusiasts had  a lot to cheer as the racers in various categories blazed away to make a mark on the national racing scene.  Stealing the lime light today were  A. Satish Kumar, A. Prabhu, R.Ashouk, Harry Sylvester, Karthik and Jagan who took the honors in various categories today.

Expert class

Group B 4 stroke 130 - 165 cc

P. Karthick of Team TVS Racing starting in pole in Race one capitalized on a good start to grab a comfortable lead and retained it till the end to take the chequered flag Finishing in 2nd place was Karthik’s team mate Harry Sylvester, while R. Deepak  came in third.  Race 2 saw Karthik taking his second chequered flag of the day followed by his team mates T.K.Vishwanath and Harry Sylvester in second and third places respectively.

Open class

Group D 4 stroke 130 cc to 160 cc         

it was yet another profitable outing for Hosur Harry Sylvester who completed a delightful double.  P. Karthik finished second.  R. Deepak who gave a tough fight to Karthik for the second slot had to ultimately settle for the third place.  In  Race 2 Harry did face a stiff fight from Sarath Kumar by managed to hold on and win the race by a whisker.  While Sarath finished in second place, R Deepak once again emerged in third place.

Intermediate category

Group C 2 stroke 130 – 165 cc

With Chennai lads continuing their dominating run it was A. Sathish Kumar who took the chequered flag in Race 1.  It was a close tussle for the second place between Tharun Rajan and M. Gautham with the former finally going through. Gautham had to settle for a third place finish.  Race 2 saw a repeat performance from Satish Kumar as he recorded his second win of the weekend in this category. Tharun Rajan once again finished second while coming in third place was A. Vinoth Kumar 

Novice category

Group D 4 stroke up to 130 cc

K. Jagan of Hosur took the honors in Race 1 while Dinesh Kumar finished second.   A. Prabhu finished third.  In Race 2 It was A. Prabhu who took the chequered flag after a fascinating duel with K. Jagan. Jagan came up with a tremendous effort but but could not go past Prabhu and secured the second place.  Dinesh Kumar finished in third place.

Honda CBF Stunner 125 cc

 For A. Prabhu it was his second successive double in this event. a grand double winning both the races in this class. In both races A Prabhu had wins very comfortable and similar margins.  In Race 1 iwas Naveen Raj and Anand Kumar finishing in second places while in Race 2 it was Anand Kumar who finished second with Naveen Raj coming in third.

Group D 4 stroke 150 cc – Honda single make race

A..Satish Kumar took the top slot in the only race in this class.   Varad More  and S. Raj Kumar finished second and third.

For Ashok Kumar it was a repeat double delight in the mopeds category as he once again recorded comfortable wins in both races.  Finishing in second and third places in the first race was Vinoth Kumar and S. Ravi while in Race 2 it was BM Sriram and S. Ravi in second and third places respectively.
