India Yamaha Motor July Sales up by 47 %

YZF-R15 and FZ-16 continue to bolster sales; new entrant Fazer catches consumer imagination

India Yamaha Motor has registered an impressive growth of 47 % in sales during July 2009 as compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 17, 316 units in July 2009 as against 11, 792 units sold in July last year.

Expressing his pleasure on the increase in the sales, Mr. Yukimine Tsuji, CEO & MD, India Yamaha Motor said, “Our continuous sales growth in the first half of the year is driven by the consumer’s acceptance and delight with our new products. As we enter the festival season, we aim to sustain the growing demand by enhancing our dealership networks and giving customers an array of options to choose from.”
