2nd Critical Mass Bangalore - Dec 2008

Postby abhi » December 26th, 2008, 11:38 pm

It was good to be at the 2nd Critical Mass Bangalore edition. There were 26 of us on the 26th of December. I was sick and I had not enough strength for a bike salute, so enjoyed only clicking snaps of all you guys out there! :D I didn't get all the names, you can leave comments in the picasa album and so that I can fill your names in! Video coming soon, as soon as I get some time!

It was really a pleasant experience. Had some difficulties in remembering the names :) Got a good chance to look at other bikes too :)

As per some suggestions, are we having the next CMB on a weekend during daylight?

Sharada

:( Okay, my second critical <s>mass</s> solo. Lalbagh traffic is unforgiving. It was close to 7:00pm before I returned to LalbaghWestGate. :( I raced till Kasturibha road to join others in vain. Looks like the only option left is to take timeoff, next CM. At the end, that ~18km ride made me feel better.

Good ride there people. Looks like you are really having fun there. Any updates on the Mumbai edition?

Sharada Prasad, that helmet seems a tad large for your head. Was it clamped down correctly?

It was my first group ride ever and i thoroughly enjoyed. It was good to meet the fellow bikers and i think we did manage to create some excitement about cycling - there were quiet a few inquires on what we are up to and some thought we were racing.

abhi, thanks for sharing the pictures

Excellent!! You guys seem to have enjoyed much on the CM. It's so nice to see you guys sending out a message and having a good time together. Go Green!

Abhi: If you are involved in getting them, are the "Go Green" T-shirts available? I would like to have one myself. Can I get details on this?

I saw a "Go Green" message plastered on a side of the helmet. Thats an excellent idea as well. That gave me an idea to inscribe "Go Green" on one side of the helmet and "Get Fit" on the other. :D

Happy New Year to one and all,
Venky

Sorry i havent been able to put an update on the mumbai CM.. the CM was great.. 40-42 people turn out despite the holiday season AND a weekend.. I am kinda caught up preparing for my konkan biking trip so am unable to add info rightaway.. but it was wonderful!
