Double delight for Dilip Rogger, Praveen Keerti and Harry Sylvester. Impressive performances by newcomers

On an action packed windy day with no respite from the summer heat the first round of Ucal Rolon National Racing Championship for bikes got underway at the Kari Motor Speedway today.  The sizable crowd racing enthusiasts had much to cheer as the racers in various categories blazed away to make a mark on the national racing scene.  

Group A 4 Stroke - upto 1100 cc

The Group A races had every one enthralled and glued to their seats as the racers displayed tremendous driving skills at very high speeds. India’s ace international rider Dilip Rogger won both the races in the overall category. Praveen Keerti and Deepak Mural took the honors in the upto 600cc and 1100 cc classes respectively in Race 1.

Expert Group B 4 Stroke 210 – 260cc:

Race 1: R.Deepak had a facile win while K.Vinodh and P.Rajini finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Race 2: P. Rajini took the chequered flag.  In second and third places were Alok Shashidhar and K.Vinodh respectively.

Expert Group B 130 -165cc:

Race 1: P.Karthik took the race win in Race 1 with K.Rajini and Harry Sylvester coming in the 2nd and 3rd places.

Race 2: K.Rajini was the winner of Race 2  with Karthik and  Harry Sylvester finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Expert Group D 4 stroke 130 – 165cc:

It was a great outing for Harry Sylvester as he rode away to a glorious double. Finishing second and third in both races were P. Karthik and K.Rajini respectively.

Intermediate Group D 4 stroke 130 – 165:

I'm sure this first race results, which have been sent to me are wrong and will be changed as soon as I get the actual results.

K.Umesh Babu took the honors in Race 1 of theclass. V. Sameer clinched the top spot in Race 2.

In the moped category it was one of the seasoned campaigners K. Umesh Babu who took the chequered flag in Race 1 while Vinoth Kumar emerged winner in Race 2.
